In the words of James Gritter, a nationally known champion for open adoptions, ‘We should not be asking who this child belongs to, but who belongs to this child’, it has taken years to muster the strength and courage to discover my true origin. I was born and raised for many years in the big cities of Texas between a short stint in Alamo, CA. I ventured to the Midwest after graduating from University of Arizona working for Dow Chemical, Cargill, Ingredion and now BNSF Losgistics. All work and no play would make my life pretty dull so I happily married my darling husband Andy and am blessed with four wonderful children (now young adults); Lauren, Rachel, Sean and Kevin. In 2009 I managed to get a masters in business at DePaul University in one year and continue to find time to stay fit with my biking, rowing and strength training workouts, going to the opera, hiking, cooking and getting together with family and friends. Masterfully created by her brother David is a link to a short video of my growing up with my adopted family. Enjoy!
